Before you book
Runners, lifters, hybrid athletes, golfers, tennis and basketball players, and active adults who keep hitting the same wall. Most people who come to me have already tried PT, chiro, massage or rest, and the problem keeps coming back.
It's a 15-minute call with me. We talk through what's going on and what you've tried, and I tell you straight whether I can help. No cost, no pressure, no commitment.
No. You don't need a referral to book. If we need one later, I'll handle coordinating it.
No. Most people don't need imaging to start. If anything in your evaluation suggests you do, I'll tell you.

Cost and insurance
No. Revenant is cash-based and out-of-network. That's what lets every session be a full 60 minutes, one-on-one with me. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I can give you a superbill on request to submit for possible reimbursement.
It depends on what you need. At the end of your evaluation I'll recommend a program built around your goal, usually 6 to 12 weeks, and tell you the exact cost before you commit. The discovery call is free.
It depends on your plan. Many plans with out-of-network benefits pay back part of the cost once you meet your out-of-network deductible. Call your insurance before you start, and I'll give you a superbill to submit.
A superbill is an itemized receipt with your diagnosis and treatment codes. You submit it to your insurance to request out-of-network reimbursement, and any reimbursement is paid to you.
Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for physical therapy at Revenant.
For most active people who want to get back to training, yes. You get 60 minutes one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit, which usually means fewer visits overall. If your plan covers PT with a low copay and you only want basic pain relief, in-network may be the better fit.
Your visits
A full movement assessment. We look at how your whole system handles load, not just where it hurts. You leave with a clear explanation of what's driving the problem and a plan to fix it.
60 minutes, one-on-one, with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy every time. No aides, no double booking.
Most people feel a difference in the first few weeks. A full plan is usually 6 to 12 weeks, depending on how long it's been going on and what you're getting back to.
Clothes you can move and train in. Shorts make it easier to assess hip, knee and foot problems, and a tank top helps for shoulders.
Yes. You'll get a home program with exercise videos, built around your schedule and your training.
Yes, when it helps. It's a tool to calm pain down so you can train, never the whole plan.
Pain and injuries
Most clinics treat the spot that hurts, with a similar set of exercises for everyone. Here, every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one, and the plan comes from a full-body assessment of how you move, built around what you're trying to get back to.
In most cases, yes. Disc findings show up on MRIs even in people with no pain, so the image rarely tells the whole story. We focus on how your body is moving and loading, calm the irritation, and build back the capacity to do what you want.
Often, yes. What shows up on an X-ray and how much it hurts often don't line up. Building strength and changing how the joint is loaded can make a real difference, even when you've been told you're “bone on bone.”
Usually not completely. We adjust weight, volume, mileage or intensity around what hurts, so you keep your fitness while we fix the problem.
Yes. ACL, meniscus, rotator cuff, Achilles and joint replacement. We follow your surgeon's guidelines and build you all the way back to your sport or activity, not just to walking.
If you have leg weakness that's getting worse, numbness in the groin or saddle area, changes in bladder or bowel control, can't put weight on a limb after an injury, felt a pop with sudden weakness or swelling, or have a sudden severe headache, dizziness or fever with your pain, see a physician first. Otherwise, you can start with physical therapy without a referral.
