My story

About Dr. Nevin Saju, PT, DPT

I know what it's like to not trust your body.

You've probably been through it already. Doctors, a round of PT, maybe a chiropractor or massage. Some of it helped for a while. But the pain keeps coming back, and you still don't feel like yourself.

I know that feeling from the inside.

Where this started

I've been the patient

I was born with a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot and had three open heart surgeries, the last one at 19. After that last surgery, I went home with no plan. No guidance on getting back to training. Just a body I didn't trust.

So I figured it out on my own, and I made every mistake along the way.

Years later, as a physical therapist, I finally understood what I needed back then: someone to explain what was actually going on and give me a plan I could follow.

Born with a heart defect

Tetralogy of Fallot. Surgery was part of life before I could remember it.

Three open heart surgeries

The last one at 19.

Sent home with no plan

No guidance on getting back to training. Just a body I didn't trust.

Rebuilt it the hard way

I pushed too hard, got hurt more than once, and spent a long time wondering if I'd ever move freely again.

Became the PT I needed

Someone to explain what was actually going on and give me a plan I could follow. That's what I do now.

Why I built Revenant

To give people what I never had

Whether it's a new injury, pain that keeps coming back, or the gap between finishing rehab and actually performing again, that's the work I do.

1

A real explanation

What's actually going on, and why it keeps happening. In plain language.

2

A plan that adapts

Built around your body and your goals, and adjusted as you progress.

3

Confidence to train again

Getting back to what you love without waiting for the next breakdown.

My background

I thought I'd be a psychologist

My own recovery pulled me toward movement instead.

1

B.S. in Psychology

University of Texas at Dallas, 2016.

2

Doctor of Physical Therapy

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, 2020.

3

Still learning

Ongoing training in pain science, biomechanics, athletic rehab and movement.

How I work

The psychology still matters

Pain isn't only physical, and even the perfect plan isn't perfect if you can't stick to it.

1

I listen first

Your full story, what you've tried, and what you're trying to get back to.

2

I explain everything

In plain language, so you understand your body instead of fearing it.

3

I build around your life

A plan you can actually follow, not a generic protocol.

What patients say about working with Nevin

5.0 ★★★★★ from 90+ Google reviews

“Revenant Physical Therapy is the 4th clinic that either me or my daughter has attended. Nevin is to date the best PT that we have had the opportunity to work with. He is the first PT that actually performed a ‘full body’ assessment in order to address the ‘whole solution.’”

Jill C.
Fourth clinic tried

“I went to a chain PT place for 3-4 months prior to this and saw no progress. I came to Nevin and within 5 weeks, I saw exponential progress… If you are an active individual, you should only go to Nevin for your rehab.”

Akash P.
Tried a chain PT clinic first

“I initially started PT because of knee pain that had made me hesitant and a little afraid to get back into working out or trying new sports… More than anything, he helped me regain my confidence in working out.”

Outside the clinic

Family is everything to me

I bring that same care to the people I work with. When I'm not in the clinic, you'll probably find me:

Training

Lifting, rucking or doing yoga.

Watching

The Cowboys or UFC.

Reading

And chasing new ideas.

Talking

In a conversation that goes way past small talk.
